Private museum of the 20th century
In the museum you will see and learn how people in the Czech Republic worked and enjoyed themselves in the countryside during the 20th century.
You can see agricultural machines made between World War I and World War II.
You will also see carriages and sleighs used by farmers. Lovers of agricultural machines can admire 17 historical tractors here.
You will acquaint yourself with tools that craftsmen such as a tailor, a shoemaker, a butcher, and others were using.
Also clocks, first radio receivers, telephones, gramophones, and TV sets are worth seeing.
Children will also enjoy themselves. They can see old marionettes and puppets, doll’s prams, and dolls. Visitors will sit for many minutes watching train sets (Mercury brand) that are running.
The museum entrance is situated in the premises of the “Cikas” florist’s shop in the municipality of Libeň (on the right in front of the little pond) – please report to the office on the right.
You can also arrive by bike in the museum and safely park your bike for the duration of your tour.
In 2013 is open/ tours in English are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 am.
