18-holes championship golf course is located in the vicinity of Sokolov, Dolní Rychnov and Březová near Sokolov. Nearby the E6 speedway which connects Cheb and Karlovy Vary are approaches for three German border crossings from the west and for Prague (apr. 95 miles) from the east.
The altitude of the course is 430 m above sea level, and it covers an area of about 100 ha. The difference between the highest and the lowest point of the course is 42 m.. The environment provides for a long golf season (april - november).
The Sokolovska uhelna company built the golf course on its grounds as an exemplary project continuing with the reconstruction and reclamation of the land after brown coal strip mining.
The course was created from the monotonuous “moon land “. Slightly undulated ground of the course is suggestive of a typical atmosphere of a Scottish links - large greens, deep bunkers, wide fairways, wind...With its parameters, design and quality can be classified among the golf jewels of masterpiece courses in the Czech Republic!!
The 18-hole course with a par of 72 is 6288 m long. The area of the greens is from 500 m to 640 square meters.
The whole course (fairways - greens - tees) is irrigated by an automatic irrigation system Rain Bird.
