The rugged natural area of the zoo and botanical garden has an area of 21 ha and is divided according to the biogeographic division of the Earth into biogeographic areas. Plants and animals complement each other here and create thus one large whole, similarly as they do in nature. You will find more than 1100 species of animals. More than 60% species of animals that are bred in the Plzeň zoo; no other Czech zoo has this. Other services: a refreshment-room and an African restaurant.
