Originally a Late Gothic Renaissance chateau of the Žirotín family from the 16th century, rebuilt on the Baroque style, adapted in the Classicist style, in 1815-1854 owned by the Kinský family. Later a prison for women, army hospital, barracks. In the chateau interiors with stuccoes and wall paintings is an exposition of Valašské Meziříčí in mirror of the history. Glass, tapestries. The museum originated already in 1884.
